What is a UTV?
There are so many powersports vehicles on the market that we don’t blame anyone for becoming confused. A Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) or a Rough Terrain Vehicle (RTV) are four-wheeled vehicles that are closer in structure to your car. These machines have steering wheels and foot pedals similar to those you probably use to get to work everyday. They feature bench seating, which is why they’re also called side by sides. How Safe Is It?

That said, these are still heavy and dangerous beasts and you should gear up when riding one. This includes wearing protective riding clothes and a well-fitting helmet.
